Government Shutdown Day 30: The Facts on Demands, Votes, and a Path Forward-Government Reform!

The U.S. federal government has been shut down since October 1, 2025, now in its 30th day, because Congress failed to pass appropriations bills before the fiscal year ended on September 30. Over 1 million federal workers are furloughed or working without pay, SNAP benefits for 42 million Americans (including kids and vets) lapse tomorrow (Nov 1), and critical services like air traffic control are strained. This isn’t about “out of money” in the debt ceiling sense (that’s separate), it’s Congress refusing to approve routine spending at already bloated FY2025 levels (~$7 trillion). Propping it open with more debt (national debt: $38+ trillion) is fiscally insane, kicking the can while interest payments alone devour $1 trillion/year more than defense or Medicare.


Government Shutdown

Is the CR on the table a CLEAN CR? YES, 100% clean. House GOP passed it multiple times (e.g., H.R. 5371). It’s sitting in the Senate, blocked 13 times by Dem filibusters. Even the largest federal union (AFGE) begs Dems: “Pass the clean CR today.”


Votes by Party: GOP Says “Yes” Every Time, Dems Block


House (GOP majority): Passed clean CR ~217-212, near-party line (all/most Reps YES, Dems NO).


Senate (Dems filibuster via cloture): Needs 60 votes to advance. 13 failed votes:


Pattern: 54-46 or 55-45 ( ALL 50 GOP + 4-5 Dems/Ind YES vs. ~45 Dems NO ).

Ex: Oct 22 (Vote #581): Closure REJECTED. 15

Oct 28 (13th): 54-45 FAIL, 3 Dems crossed over.

Dems own the shutdown, they’re holding 1M workers + 42M on food aid hostage for pet projects.


The Insanity: More Debt to “Fix” Being Broke?


We’re $38T in the hole, deficits $2T/year. A “clean” CR continues reckless spending (~$6K/person in debt added monthly). Dems want $1.5T MORE? That’s suicide. Shutdown exposes the scam: Govt isn’t “essential”—it runs on borrowed Chinese money. Time to force cuts.

This is just the beginning, we need things like campaign finance reform, term limits, cap Congress pay at the median of their State with a bonus tied to a balanced (and a surplus) budget, etc.

  1. Fix MAJOR Problems:

    • Border: Wall + deport 1M/year → $150B savings.

    • Crime: Defund Soros DAs; back the blue.

    • Education: School choice; end DEI indoctrination.

    • Healthcare: Competition > mandates.


Ratify Balanced Budget Amendment.  Primary ANY Rep who votes NO.

 

Media FAIL: Partisan Hacks, Not Free Press

  • Lib Media (CNN/NYT/Guardian): “Trump starves kids!” Ignores Dems blocked clean CR 13x. 

  • Right Media (Fox/OAN): “Dems shutdown!” Spot-on, but some hype without blueprint. 

  • Both PUSH NARRATIVES over facts. No investigative journalism on $500B fraud. They’re D.C. lobbyists in disguise.
